The Waupun Area School District Board of Education Policy & Curriculum Committee will meet on May 17, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Waupun Area School District Education Service Center, 950 Wilcox Street, Waupun, WI. If four board members are present at any committee meeting, it constitutes a quorum and is considered a meeting of the Board of Education. COVID-19 brought to light the lack of accessibility to internet by Fond du Lac County residents, which has led the County to be more proactive in addressing this important issue. Fond du Lac County partnered with Envision Greater Fond du Lac, the county-wide chamber of commerce and economic development organization, to conduct a survey of household internet access and use in the County. The survey, which starts March 1, asks you to provide information related to how you use the internet, your satisfaction with your internet service and providers, internet reliability, and other internet concerns. It is important for your household to complete this survey so that your voice is heard and change can occur in our County. Your household may receive a postcard in the mail with information regarding this survey. The results of the survey will be used to allow various organizations to apply for grants to help contribute to the cost of county-wide improvements in internet service. To participate in the Fond du Lac County Resident Internet Survey, please go to: or call Envision Greater Fond du Lac at (920) 921-9500 to request that a paper copy be mailed to your residence.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction strongly encourages families to complete a free/reduced meal application. Families that qualify for free or reduced meals may be provided future EBT funds that can be used for food purchases at stores and may apply for school fee waivers. Federal funds are distributed to school districts based on the percentage of approved applicants. Please complete an application online in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or pick up a paper application at any one of the schools.

Dear WASD Families, The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is committed to improving digital equity in the State of Wisconsin. DPI is collaborating with Measurement Lab (M-Lab) to collect data on Internet speeds across the state. The data collected will help the Governor's Task Force on Broadband Access to create reports on where broadband access is sufficient as well as lacking. We're inviting you to participate in the collection of this data. Please consider going to the site below several times throughout the next few weeks to take the Internet speed test. Also, please take the speed test on your child's Chromebook, a laptop, or home computer as this will give more accurate results than running the test on a mobile phone. The more data there is, the more accurate picture DPI will have about Internet speeds across the State of Wisconsin. Thank you for your help and participation.
