Please note an immediate change to our safe return to school. Beginning Tuesday, September 21, every student who is or was a close contact will be required to wear a mask for fourteen days. Our nursing staff is overwhelmed in testing students exhibiting symptoms of COVID. We are trying our best.

Dear Parent or Guardian: Waupun Area School District is participating in the USDA Seamless Summer Option (SSO) for the entirety of the 2021-22 school year. This means that our schools are continuing to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students! The SSO provides additional support and flexibility for our district to continue serving meals to children while maintaining safety measures and managing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. What does this mean for you and your children attending our schools?  All enrolled students are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge to your child(ren) each day of the school year. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in this meal program without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. The district will still be accepting applications from households with a student enrolled at WASD for the Free-Reduced Lunch Program; however, receipt of free breakfast and lunch meals does not depend on returning it. Completing the application is still necessary for other benefit(s) like waived registration fees, technology fees, activity fees, course fees and/or free school supplies and may be used to determine if your household is eligible for these additional benefits. If you application is approved, a completed Sharing Information form is required for those added benefits. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact The Food Service Department at (920)324-5591 or Carrie Zima at (920)324-9341 ext. 2106. Sincerely, Waupun Area School District
