2022 Spring Election Information

NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
Waupun Area School District
April 5, 2022

An election is to be held in the School District of Waupun, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.

The term of office for school board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 25, 2022. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.

A Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy, must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in the office of the school district clerk.

If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election.  If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Spring Election 2022 - School Board Candidates

The following candidates have filed and will appear on the April 5th Spring Election Ballot.

Representing the City of Waupun:

  1. Benjamin Pickart

  2. Lori Van Buren

Representing the Towns of Alto and Trenton:

  1. Megan VandeZande

  2. Jodi Tank

Representing the Towns of Burnett, Chester, Oakfield, Springvale and Waupun:

  1. No Candidate

There is one (1) opening for each seat listed. Voters are to vote for no more than one (1) candidate for each seat. Voters that lives within the district can vote for any and all seats up for election. The candidate with the highest vote total in each seat will represent the district for one term, or three (3) years, beginning April 25, 2022.

You will need to complete and return a CF-1 Campaign Registration Statement and an EL-162sd Declaration of Candidacy to Trisha Visser at the Education Service Center (950 Wilcox St. Waupun, WI) by the required deadline. Nomination papers are not required for this district.
