In preparation for their "Fall Celebration," Kindergarten and Third-grade buddies read books and wrote book reports on their favorite characters. Then, they designed and painted pumpkins to go with their book. On October 31, as a culminating activity, each learner wore a costume of his/her favorite book character and bravely shared his/her book report in front of the K/3 buddy classes. Mrs. Panzer proudly noted, "Public speaking is an important skill we work hard to get our learners comfortable with at SAGES. Our learners were so EXCITED to share their ideas with their buddies!"
Beyond their book reports, learners also enjoyed pumpkin smoothies made on SAGES' bicycle blender, playing team building games, and parading around the school and community to celebrate their learning!
