Academic Standards 2019-20 School Year - Annual Declaration and Parent Notice of the District's Student Academic Standards pursuant to state statutes 120.12(13) and 118.30(1g)(a)1.
School boards are required by section 120.12(13) of the state statutes to notify the parents/guardians enrolled in the school district of the student academic standards that will be in effect for the school year. Boards must provide this notification annually, prior to the beginning of the school term. This notice may be provided electronically, including by posting the notice or a link to the specific academic standards on the school district’s website. Also, the school board must annually include an item on the agenda of the first school board meeting of the school year (the first board meeting after July 1) that clearly identifies the student academic standards adopted by the board under section 118.30(1g)(a)1 of the state statutes that will be in effect for the school year.

School Accountability and Educational Options Notice (Act 55)
According to State Statute, the Waupun Area School District is required to notify parents of the educational options available to children who reside in the resident school district. This statute also requires notification of the school’s accountability report. As such, the Waupun Area School District will reference our most recent accountability report and current listing of educational options.

NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION - April 2, 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the Waupun Area School District, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. The term of office for school board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 22, 2019.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy, must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in the office of the school district clerk in the Education Service Center, 950 Wilcox Street, Waupun, WI.
Note: The filing deadline is typically on the first Tuesday in January. In 2019, the filing deadline is Wednesday, January 2, 2019, because the first Tuesday in January 1, a holiday.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

NOTICE OF DIRECTORY DATA
The Waupun Area School District, pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and §118.125 (1) (b) (j) (1 and 2), has designated the following as Directory Data Information as provided in said Act and Statute: a student's name; date and place of birth; photograph; major field of study; participation in officially-recognized activities and sports; height and weight, if a member of an athletic team; date of graduation; or awards received.
Any parent, guardian, or eligible student (18 years of age or older) may inform the district of completing the district’s Request to Withhold Directory Data Information form, obtained from the school offices, of his/her desire that all or any part of the directory information may not be disclosed without the parent, guardian, or eligible student’s consent, provided that such notification is given to the district within fourteen (14) days of the annual publication of a Class I Notice regarding Directory Data Information. Any previous notices on file with the Waupun Area School District to withhold the disclosing of directory information are VOID with the publication of the annual notice. Requests to withhold Directory Data Information must be renewed annually.
